Some people are just slow to act
Around the corner from getting their life on track
And wonder why life isn’t cutting them any slack
Bcuz you never left the house did you think about that……🤔🤔🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

From coming up with a plan
Been around the corner for 10 years
In the living room I still stand

From finishing my degree
Just sitting here on the couch
Laying down and watching t.v.

Right around the corner
From finding a good wife
Who’s gonna let you lead though
You’re incapable of acting right

You on your way to a husband
You can smell him, you’re getting warmer
Won’t lose weight or that attitude
But you’re still right around the corner

Right around the corner
From becoming your own boss
You don’t like taking risks though
So you’ll never pay the cost

Right around the corner
From getting your priorities straight
All you do is FB and IG
So yeah you’ll do just great

Forging out the house on roller skates
Without preparation falling on your face
But you’re “allowed” to make mistakes
Around that corner awaits your fate

I say all of this to convey
There’s nothing cool about being late
We laugh about it like it’s ok
But cry when portrayed in a certain way

Let’s normalize being on time
Being late has only got us behind
Around the corner from the life we cherish
Hop in the car before your dreams perish
