One thing that I can’t see
Is how society falls prey
To this notion of populari-tee
Being so essential to a better day

Brainwashed into thinking in such a way
Just following while being led astray
But where does popularity really get you🤔🤔
Fans paying attention to your every move🕵🏾‍♂️

This is the point when they start to judge🧑🏾‍⚖️
Taking shots with their double barrell slugs
Your fans annoy you like bugs that buzz🐝🦟🪰
You swat at them but their buzz won’t budge

Now you see who your true fans (friends) are
The ones who cared before you were a star
They wouldn’t hesitate to jump in their car
And pick you up after falling down

Meanwhile your “fans” are nowhere to be found
Until they want to buzz around in your ear
Or until they need you to come around
For their own entertainment they keep you near

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer
Hence you’re not their friend, you’re only their sofa
Or their toilet when they need the most of
Your time and energy just call them Benedict

You only exist to s(h)it on for their benefit
Don’t wait to separate from that bond just end it
Fall back from the mortal kombat and finish it
Maintain the bond with your friends or replenish it

Fans are seasonal and grossly unreasonable
They’ll betray you, their deeds….treasonable
Friends are always there to water the seeds in you
So you can blossom so remove those weeds in you

Pluck the weeds from your garden
