How can I shine without shining? This is the outcome for which I’m striving. To be that unseen gem that resides in hiding. Deep down in the earth is where you find me.

If you’re not a miner who’s mining then don’t mind me. It takes one with the right equipment to uncover this time piece. Diamond is more like it…..and this kind is a rarity. The kind of diamond that exudes “will you marry me?” But I’m not for everybody so I’ll provide some clarity.

I’m kind of introverted, blind and allergic to the spotlight is a better way to word it. I don’t want to see it much if at all. Only when appropriate as popularity has its downfall. I don’t need the masses to see my worth to feel validated. I want those willing to dig in the dirt real calculated. These are the ones who make me feel like I made it.

These people are also rare. They can sniff me out like a bear 🐻🐻‍❄️. I also sniff on them to ensure I’m aware. We all must beware because we have a lot of fake gems out there. These coal mines are gold mines where we have some good ole times.

Gems are magnetized to other gems. We all hoop in the same gym. Lift weights and congregate amongst each other as we have similar traits. We’re on the same page, taught from the same school of thought so we bring home similar grades. Iron sharpens iron and we place our blades on each other’s lathe.

I would much rather be discovered by the few. Discovered by the mining crew that says “who knew.” As in who knew this precious metal existed, I found this and glad others missed it. I’m a misfit to those that missed this and a quick fix for those that kissed it.

I embrace being the hidden gem. It’s not a disgrace to be one of them. It’s actually an honor that I bathe in because I don’t want to be worn on everybody’s skin. 💍💎🏅🥇
